Programme Associate (G‑6) – Temporary (3 months)

About the role

The Programme Associate (G‑6) will support UNICEF’s programme delivery in Uganda on a three‑month temporary basis. Working within the Programme Section, the incumbent will liaise with internal units and external partners to ensure smooth implementation of project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in project planning, execution and monitoring for assigned initiatives.
• Coordinate partnership management functions, including risk assessments, due diligence and spot checks.
• Support funding authorization and Certificate of Expenditures (FACE) requests to align with work plans.
• Monitor timely liquidation of Direct Cash Transfer (DCT) payments.
• Collect, analyse and report qualitative and quantitative programme data.

Required profile

• Under supervision, provide specialised programme and administrative support.
• Engage in data analysis, budget tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate with internal units (Operations, Finance, Supply) and external stakeholders (government ministries, NGOs, donors).
• Exercise sound judgment, anticipate needs and recommend actions for programme planning and implementation.
