Programme Officer – Inclusive Livelihoods & SRHR

About the role

The Programme Officer will coordinate and provide technical support for inclusive programmes that improve the livelihoods, economic empowerment, and wellbeing of persons with disabilities in Uganda, aligning with NUDIPU’s strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and implementation of project activities in line with approved work plans and budgets.
• Provide technical oversight and supervise Programme Assistants at district and community levels.
• Promote disability‑inclusive and gender‑responsive programming across all interventions.
• Ensure safeguarding policies are applied and risks are managed.
• Lead the iSAVE inclusive economic empowerment activities and support formation of savings groups.
• Oversee inclusive SRHR activities, mapping actors and ensuring quality implementation.
• Monitor programme performance, manage data collection, and support reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant development or social science field.
• At least five years of experience in programme/project implementation, preferably with NGOs.
• Experience in SRHR, gender equality, GBV, or safeguarding is an advantage.
• Experience working with organisations of persons with disabilities and local government structures.
