Project Assistant (Kapchorwa)

About the role

The Project Assistant will support Raising The Village’s community‑driven initiatives in Kapchorwa, helping to increase household income and reduce extreme poverty. You will work closely with partner villages, facilitate trainings, and ensure smooth implementation of project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct project design review meetings with partner villages and provide feedback to update designs and budgets.
• Co‑facilitate training sessions on financial literacy, health, agriculture, livestock, and other thematic areas.
• Implement RTV’s project methodologies to achieve income‑generation and poverty‑reduction goals.
• Prepare and submit procurement lists, verify goods before distribution, and manage logistics.
• Provide ongoing support to community groups and households to ensure compliance and sustainability.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures, and recommend improvements.
• Develop work plans, submit weekly field reports, and assist with donor reporting and proposal writing.
• Participate in staff and cluster meetings, submit financial requests, and maintain a photographic data repository.
• Offer feedback to project officers and suggest new activities to enhance project impact.

Required profile

• University degree in Community Development, Project Management, Development Studies, Social Work, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in community development programs, project management, facilitation, or leadership roles.
