Project Assistant – Luuka

About the role

Raising The Village is seeking a motivated Project Assistant to support its community development initiatives in Luuka. You will work closely with partner villages, facilitate trainings, and help implement project methodologies aimed at increasing household income and reducing extreme poverty.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct project design review meetings with partner villages and provide feedback on designs and budgets.
• Co‑facilitate trainings on financial literacy, health, agriculture, livestock care, and other community topics.
• Implement project methodologies, develop procurement lists, verify goods, and support distribution.
• Provide ongoing guidance to community groups and households to ensure compliance and project continuity.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures, and recommend improvements.
• Prepare weekly work plans, field reports, and assist with donor reporting and proposal writing.
• Participate in staff and cluster meetings, submit financial requests, and maintain project documentation including photographs.
• Offer feedback to improve project approaches and suggest new sustainable activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Community Development, Project Management, Development Studies, Social Work or related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in community development programs, project management, facilitation or leadership.
