Project Assistant – Multiple Locations

About the role

Raising The Village is seeking Project Assistants to support community‑driven projects across numerous districts in Uganda. The role involves implementing project designs, facilitating trainings and ensuring project compliance to increase household income and reduce extreme poverty.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct project design review meetings with partner villages and provide feedback to update designs and budgets.
• Coordinate and co‑facilitate training activities such as financial literacy, water and sanitation, agriculture, livestock care and health outreaches.
• Implement RTV’s project methodologies to increase household income and reduce extreme poverty.
• Develop and submit lists of required goods and services, verify inputs before distribution, and support community groups to ensure compliance.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures, and report regularly to leadership and community members.

Required profile

• University degree in Community Development, Project Management, Development Studies, Social Work or related fields.
• Minimum two years of experience in community development programs, project management or facilitation.
• Ability to travel up to 80 % of the time, hike rugged terrain and ride a motorcycle with a valid permit.
• Strong work ethic, flexible attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong training and facilitation abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
