Project Assistant – Multiple Vacancies

About the role

Raising The Village is seeking several Project Assistants to support the implementation of community‑based projects across multiple districts in Uganda. The role involves coordinating training, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with project designs to increase household income and reduce extreme poverty.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in project design review meetings with partner villages and provide feedback on designs and budgets.
• Co‑facilitate training activities such as financial literacy, water and sanitation, agriculture, livestock management, and health outreach.
• Implement RTV’s project methodologies to achieve income‑generation and poverty‑reduction targets.
• Prepare procurement lists, verify goods before distribution, and support logistics.
• Conduct regular follow‑up visits, provide guidance to community groups, and monitor compliance.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures, and recommend improvements.
• Organise and lead meetings with leadership and community members to discuss performance and participation.
• Develop work plans, submit weekly field reports, and assist with donor reporting and proposal writing.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project implementation or community development.
• Willingness to travel up to 80 % of the time across remote villages.
• Proficiency in local languages (Runyoro, Rutooro, Rukiga, Runyankore, Kinyarwanda, etc.).
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse community stakeholders.
