Project Assistant (Multiple Vacancies)

About the role

Raising The Village is seeking motivated Project Assistants to support the implementation of poverty‑reduction programmes across several districts in Uganda. The role involves extensive field work, community engagement and coordination with partner villages to ensure project activities are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in project design review meetings with partner villages and provide feedback on designs and budgets.
• Co‑facilitate training sessions on financial literacy, health‑sanitation, agriculture, livestock management and other thematic areas.
• Prepare and submit procurement lists, verify goods before distribution, and support logistics.
• Conduct regular follow‑up visits to community groups and households to monitor compliance and provide guidance.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures and recommend improvements.
• Develop and manage work plans, produce weekly field reports and assist with donor reporting and proposal writing.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project implementation or community development.
• Willingness to travel up to 80 % of the time across project sites.
• Fluency in local languages (Runyoro, Rutooro, Rukiga, etc.) is essential.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
