Project Assistant (Ngora)

About the role

The Project Assistant will support Raising The Village’s community development initiatives in Ngora, working directly with partner villages to implement projects that increase household income and reduce extreme poverty.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project design review meetings with villages and update designs and budgets as needed.
• Co‑facilitate training sessions on financial literacy, sanitation, agriculture, livestock care, savings groups and health outreach.
• Implement RTV’s methodologies, verify and distribute goods, and monitor project compliance.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures and provide regular updates to community leaders.
• Develop work plans, submit weekly field reports, and support donor reporting and proposal writing.
• Prepare weekly financial requests and maintain accurate documentation, including photographs for data repositories.
• Provide feedback to improve project processes and suggest new sustainable activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Community Development, Project Management, Development Studies, Social Work or related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in community development programmes, project coordination or facilitation.
