Project Assistant – Rubanda (Multiple Vacancies)

About the role

Raising The Village is seeking motivated Project Assistants to support implementation of community‑based projects across several districts in Uganda, including Rubanda. The role involves close collaboration with partner villages, field teams, and donors to ensure project activities are delivered effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in project design review meetings, provide feedback, and help update designs and budgets.
• Co‑facilitate training sessions on financial literacy, health‑sanitation, agriculture, livestock management, and other community‑development topics.
• Prepare and submit procurement lists, verify goods before distribution, and manage field logistics.
• Conduct regular follow‑up visits to households and community groups to monitor compliance and address challenges.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures, and report findings to project leadership.
• Develop weekly work plans and produce field reports for donor updates and proposal writing.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project implementation or community development.
• Willingness to travel up to 80 % of the time across remote locations.
• Fluency in local languages (e.g., Rukiga, Runyankole, Rutooro) and basic English communication.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in field settings.
