Project Finance Officer for INCLUDE Livestock Project

About the role

SNV is seeking a Project Finance Officer to join the INCLUDE livestock project in Uganda. The role will support the financial management of a five‑year, donor‑funded initiative that aims to improve resilient livelihoods for 75,000 smallholder livestock farmers across Busoga, Rwenzori and Kigezi.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, ensuring accurate allocation and tracking of funds.
• Conduct financial planning and analysis to support project decision‑making.
• Prepare regular financial and donor reports in compliance with donor requirements.
• Strengthen the capacity of partners and project staff in financial procedures and reporting.
• Coordinate with project teams to integrate financial considerations into the Participatory Integrated Planning approach.

Required profile

• Proven experience in budget management, financial planning and donor reporting.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including partners and field staff.
• Understanding of development projects in the agriculture/livestock sector is advantageous.
