Project Manager (Product Team)

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our product team and own day‑to‑day product operations in Uganda. You will be the on‑the‑ground point of contact for both the Customer App and the Sales App, coordinating feature rollouts, testing, and customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Customer App in Uganda, coordinating feature rollouts, running testing cycles and gathering structured feedback from users.
• Conduct customer interviews to translate market needs into clear product requirements and track key app metrics.
• Own the Sales App in Uganda, linking field agents, sales management and the product team, and managing training and adoption of new features.
• Run structured testing with sales agents, document issues and ensure resolution before releases.
• Lead ad‑hoc product projects such as integrations with local payment providers, risk verification partners or telecom operators, managing scope, stakeholders and timelines.
• Work with external vendors and internal IT teams to align requirements, timelines and acceptance criteria.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Telecommunications or a related field.
• Minimum five years’ experience in product management, business analysis, project coordination, telecommunications, fintech or digital products.
• Proven experience managing mobile applications, product rollouts, user testing (UAT) and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and project‑management abilities.
• Experience gathering customer feedback and converting business needs into product requirements.
• Fluency in English and Swahili.
