Project Officer – Nutrition

About the role

The Project Officer – Nutrition will lead the nutrition component of the Uganda Climate Smart Agricultural Transformation Project (UCSATP). Reporting to the Program Manager II, the officer will work directly with smallholder households, community groups, and health services to improve dietary diversity and nutrition outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and report on all nutrition‑related activities within UCSATP.
• Promote nutrition‑sensitive agriculture, kitchen gardens, and behavior‑change interventions such as cooking demonstrations and nutrition education.
• Strengthen capacity of farmers and community groups, focusing on women, children, and other vulnerable groups.
• Facilitate linkages between agricultural interventions and health/nutrition services.
• Contribute to data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure compliance with CRS standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in nutrition‑sensitive agriculture or community‑based nutrition programs.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations, including refugees and host communities.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with a results‑driven approach.
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
