Proposal Writer & Fundraising Trainee (Full-time)

About the role

Techbuzz Hub is seeking a full‑time Proposal Writer and Resource Mobilisation trainee to support its innovation and incubation activities. Based in Kampala, the trainee will work on developing proposals, responding to RFPs, and assisting fundraising efforts while gaining hands‑on experience in monitoring and evaluation design.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and edit project proposals, concept notes and funding applications.
• Conduct research to identify funding opportunities and align them with program objectives.
• Prepare and submit responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in accordance with donor guidelines.
• Assist in designing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, including logic models, theories of change and log‑frames.
• Collaborate with program teams to articulate problems, gaps and potential solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of proposals, communications and deadlines.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Business, Communications or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in proposal writing, technical writing or fundraising.
• Strong analytical ability to identify opportunities and translate them into project designs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
