Regional Team Lead – Integrated Health Programs

About the role

The Regional Team Lead will provide technical oversight, monitoring and support for the implementation of integrated, life‑saving HIV, TB, nutrition, malaria and maternal health interventions across two regions in Uganda. Working closely with district and regional health structures, the role strengthens partner capacity and ensures coordinated, high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for integrated health services in the assigned regions, collaborating with the Technical Director, Senior Technical Advisor and government counterparts.
• Translate the project workplan into coordinated, region‑specific activities and oversee their implementation at facility and community levels.
• Supervise programme staff, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of quality technical outputs within budget.
• Guide sub‑partners, review their workplans and reports, and ensure alignment with project objectives and donor requirements.
• Draft sections of donor technical reports and prepare presentations for donors and national/regional government stakeholders.
• Collect, aggregate and analyse data to provide high‑level overviews and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
• Maintain constructive dialogue with regional counterparts and technical staff of implementing partners.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in leading integrated health programmes, preferably in HIV, TB, nutrition, malaria or maternal health.
• Proven ability to work with government health structures and multi‑partner environments.
• Strong judgment in problem‑solving and capacity to supervise staff with some supervision.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and report preparation.
