Remote CMS Developer (Contract/Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CMS Developer to design, build, and maintain custom Content Management System applications such as WordPress, Drupal, or Craft CMS. This fully remote contract position offers the chance to shape robust, scalable web experiences while collaborating with designers and content teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create, manage, and scale customized CMS applications, including custom themes, modules, and plugins.
• Implement responsive designs, ensure cross‑browser compatibility, and perform performance tuning.
• Set up custom post types and fields to provide an intuitive editing experience for non‑technical users.
• Maintain site security, data protection, user authentication, backups, and regular software updates.
• Apply technical SEO best practices and integrate third‑party APIs, CRM systems, and tracking tools such as Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
• Collaborate daily with UI/UX designers, back‑end developers, and content stakeholders to meet brand guidelines and deadlines.
• Produce clean code and comprehensive technical documentation for future reference.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of software development experience with a strong focus on CMS technologies.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage time effectively.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and attention‑to‑detail skills.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript (ES6+).
• Server‑side languages: PHP, Python, or Ruby.
• Hands‑on experience with WordPress, Drupal, Craft CMS, or Magento.
• API integration, database management, and custom backend architecture.
• Technical SEO, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics.
