Risk Analyst – Remote (Worldwide)

About the role

The Risk Analyst will help protect our platform by identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks. Working remotely with a global team, you will turn large, messy data sets into actionable insights that safeguard both the business and its users.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor platform data to detect emerging threats such as payment fraud, account takeovers, spam, phishing, and synthetic identity networks.
• Query large datasets using SQL and Python to uncover attack vectors and quantify abusive behavior.
• Design and implement rules, models, and workflows that detect and prevent high‑risk activity while minimizing friction for legitimate users.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Legal to embed risk controls throughout the product lifecycle and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as a primary responder during large‑scale fraud spikes, making rapid decisions to contain losses.
• Build dashboards and reports to track key risk indicators and communicate findings to leadership.
• Provide feedback on internal risk tools and help integrate third‑party risk intelligence vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in risk analysis, fraud intelligence, trust & safety, or financial crime investigations within tech, e‑commerce, or fintech.
• Strong ability to translate raw data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with global compliance frameworks such as AML, KYC, GDPR, or PSD2.
• Proactive curiosity and capacity to lead cross‑functional initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
