Risk, Compliance and Data Protection Officer

About the role

The Risk, Compliance and Data Protection Officer will provide an efficient and effective service for the Compliance function, supporting business growth and strategy execution. This role oversees enterprise risk, operational risk, regulatory compliance, financial crime compliance and data protection across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and coordinate enterprise‑wide Risk and Control Self‑Assessments.
• Maintain the corporate risk register, monitor Key Risk Indicators and report emerging risks to management committees and the Board.
• Facilitate business continuity management, including Business Impact Analysis and testing.
• Monitor operational risks across underwriting, claims, finance, ICT, investments and support functions.
• Implement the Compliance Management Framework and monitor adherence to insurance, AML, tax, data protection and consumer protection regulations.
• Provide regulatory advisory support, track regulatory developments and coordinate regulatory returns.
• Support the AML/CFT/CPF programme, review Customer Due Diligence controls and conduct AML awareness training.
• Act as the designated Data Protection Officer, implementing the company’s data protection policies.
