Sales Agent – Insurance (Kampala)

About the role

The Insurance Agency is looking for a full‑time Sales Agent to work on‑site in Kampala. You will be responsible for generating new business, nurturing client relationships and driving revenue through the agency’s insurance products.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential clients and generate leads.
• Meet with clients, explain agency offerings and prepare tailored proposals.
• Negotiate terms, close sales and achieve assigned targets.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and follow‑up actions.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and ensure smooth service delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and underwriting, to support client needs.
• Build long‑term relationships and represent the agency professionally.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Proven sales abilities – lead generation, negotiation and closing deals.
• Familiarity with insurance or related service‑based industries is an advantage.
• Experience in training or coaching clients on products is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of marketing and advertising concepts.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala and manage time in a fast‑paced environment.
• Goal‑oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Certificate, diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field preferred.

Required skills
