Sales and Marketing Associate

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales and Marketing Associate to join our insurance agency in Kampala. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on acquiring new clients, retaining existing ones, and supporting the agency’s marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify prospective clients, present agency services and prepare proposals.
• Follow up on leads, negotiate and close sales to contribute to revenue growth.
• Plan, coordinate and execute marketing campaigns across digital and social media channels.
• Assist with social media content, digital outreach and gather market insights.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and update CRM or sales tracking tools.
• Prepare periodic sales and performance reports for management.
• Collaborate with creative and account teams to ensure client expectations are met.
• Participate in client meetings, networking events and support training or presentation activities.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service skills with a professional demeanor.
• Proven ability to generate leads, close deals and drive revenue.
• Interest or experience in supporting training activities and product demonstrations.
• Basic understanding of advertising and marketing principles, especially digital and social media.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala, manage time effectively and handle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in an agency, media or commercial environment is an advantage.
