Sales Hunter – Field Sales for Microfinance Loans

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Hunter to join our Kampala branch on a full‑time basis. The role focuses on aggressively sourcing new business, expanding our loan customer base, and delivering our micro‑finance solutions to civil servants, teachers and other eligible clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and identify potential clients through field visits and market research.
• Present loan products and clearly explain terms and conditions.
• Manage the sales pipeline, follow up on leads and collect required documentation.
• Coordinate with credit and operations teams to ensure smooth loan processing.
• Achieve individual and branch sales targets while maintaining high‑quality customer relationships.
• Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activity and promotional campaigns.
• Prepare accurate reports and ensure compliance with lending policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in field sales, business development or financial services selling, preferably in micro‑finance or consumer lending.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial products clearly.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet ambitious sales targets and manage time and territory efficiently.
• Basic understanding of credit processes, loan documentation and compliance requirements (advantageous).
• Proficiency in record‑keeping and reporting using MS Office or similar tools.
• Certificate or diploma in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field preferred; relevant practical experience may substitute.
• High ethical standards, reliability and willingness to work in the field engaging customers on‑site in Kampala.
