Sales Representative

About the role

Liberty Uganda is seeking a full‑time Sales Representative to join its Kampala team. The position follows a hybrid work model, combining office‑based activities with flexible work‑from‑home days. You will be responsible for guiding customers through the entire insurance sales journey, from first contact to policy activation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential clients for insurance products.
• Schedule, attend, and conduct client meetings to present suitable solutions.
• Explain product features, benefits, premiums and coverage options clearly.
• Prepare quotations, follow up on leads, and manage policy renewals.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and update sales reports.
• Collaborate with the wider team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
• Participate in marketing campaigns, community engagement activities and continuous learning on product updates and compliance.

Required profile

• Strong sales and customer relationship abilities, including prospecting, presentation, negotiation and closing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with diverse customers.
• Basic financial literacy to understand and compare insurance products.
• Good organizational and time‑management capabilities.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently as well as within a team.
• Prior experience in insurance, financial services or field sales is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance or a related field is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Experience using CRM systems.
• Familiarity with virtual meeting applications.
