Sales Representative

About the role

The Sales Representative will work full‑time on‑site in Kampala for an insurance agency, driving new business and nurturing existing client relationships. The role focuses on prospecting, presenting agency services and securing contracts to meet revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential clients across the insurance and marketing sectors.
• Conduct sales presentations and explain the agency’s marketing services.
• Prepare tailored proposals, negotiate terms and close contracts.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and client satisfaction.
• Track sales activities, maintain accurate records in CRM tools and report on performance.
• Meet or exceed set revenue and performance targets.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to understand evolving needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, business development or account management, preferably in advertising, marketing or related fields.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Solid understanding of basic marketing and advertising concepts.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented and able to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Kampala and meet clients in person.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Competence in common office software such as email, spreadsheets and presentation tools.
