Sales Representative – Kampala

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Sales Representative position is based in Kampala and focuses on driving new business for an insurance agency. You will be responsible for identifying prospects, presenting agency services, and closing deals while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the insurance market.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Conduct sales calls, meetings, and presentations to showcase agency services.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and follow up to close deals.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client needs are understood and met.
• Track sales performance, generate reports, and provide regular updates to management.

Required profile

• Demonstrated skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and persuasive communication.
• Experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in advertising, marketing, or related fields.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and planning abilities.
• Proficiency with basic office productivity tools and comfort using CRM or sales‑tracking systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive, goal‑oriented mindset.
• Fluency in English; additional local language skills are an advantage.
• Prior experience with clients in Kampala or the broader Ugandan market is beneficial.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent practical experience.
