Savings Area Manager

About the role

The Savings Area Manager leads regional savings activities for FINCA Uganda, driving the mobilization and growth of savings across the assigned geographic zone. This role designs and implements strategies to achieve savings targets while coordinating with branch managers and alternative delivery channels.

Key responsibilities

• Set institutional and branch savings targets in collaboration with the Savings Manager and branch managers.
• Develop and execute monthly plans to attract new savers and increase deposit volumes.
• Supervise savings mobilization efforts through regular meetings, field work, and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with Marketing to design promotional campaigns and with Alternative Delivery Channels to set technology‑based mobilization goals.
• Prepare weekly, bi‑weekly and monthly reports on activities, progress and recommendations.
• Build relationships with institutions and potential clients, promoting FINCA’s savings products and distribution channels (POS, Mobile Banking).
• Analyse market trends, propose new POS locations and gather client feedback for product improvement.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in savings mobilization with a proven ability to grow a portfolio.
• Excellent training, coaching, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• High integrity, self‑motivation, innovation and result‑orientation.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in savings mobilization, sales and marketing within a financial institution.
