School Psychologist

About the role

The School Psychologist will work within schools to support students’ learning, behavior and mental health. This role involves assessing students for learning and developmental needs, providing counseling, and collaborating with teachers and parents to create supportive environments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments to identify learning disabilities and developmental concerns.
• Develop, implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Provide individual and group counseling for emotional, social and behavioral issues.
• Advise teachers and parents on strategies to support student success.
• Participate in crisis response and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in psychology (e.g., degree in school or educational psychology).
• Understanding of special‑education law and best practices.
• Ability to manage a caseload across multiple schools.
• Strong communication skills with students, staff and families.
