Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead our accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust internal controls. The role involves overseeing the chart of accounts, month‑end close, intercompany accounting and supporting the Finance Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the Chart of Accounts, accounting policies, and General Ledger, ensuring accurate and compliant transaction processing.
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate month‑end stock counts, investigate variances, and report findings to management.
• Coordinate the month‑end close process, ensuring all activities and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and consolidated financial statements for Finance Controller review.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, calculate depreciation, and ensure compliance with capitalization policies.
• Prepare year‑end financial statements and audit schedules and coordinate day‑to‑day external audit requirements.
• Operate and strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Accounts Assistants, including setting priorities and reviewing their work.
• Support the Finance Controller and progressively take on delegated Finance Manager responsibilities.
