Senior Product Engineer – Lithium BESS

About the role

The client seeks a Senior Product Engineer to strengthen its lithium‑ion battery and energy storage engineering capability. You will bridge design, validation and industrialisation, ensuring concepts become reliable, manufacturable solutions that perform in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product development of lithium‑ion battery and BESS solutions from concept refinement through validation and release.
• Drive performance, reliability and quality improvements via structured testing, analysis and problem‑solving.
• Support industrialisation and manufacturing readiness to enable successful production.
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to a small team of junior and mid‑level engineers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to resolve technical issues affecting performance, manufacturability or customer outcomes.
• Contribute to engineering documentation, design controls, validation processes and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Offer manufacturing and production support to maintain product quality and operational performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing lithium‑ion battery products, battery packs or BESS solutions.
• Hands‑on experience taking products through development, testing, validation and commercialisation stages.
• Background in product‑engineering environments that balance innovation with operational delivery.
• Exposure to manufacturing environments and production‑support activities.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or providing technical leadership to engineering teams.
