Shopper Marketer

About the role

The Shopper Marketer at East African Breweries Limited (EABL) bridges brand strategy and customer execution, creating in‑store and on‑trade experiences that drive physical availability, shopper insights, and category growth for premium spirits.

Key responsibilities

• Design and launch channel‑specific marketing and promotional campaigns to increase traffic, sales, and brand awareness.
• Develop scalable shopper‑marketing programs for both on‑trade (bars) and off‑trade (retail) channels.
• Manage the end‑to‑end execution of in‑outlet brand programmes, from brief to toolkit development, customer proposition, and measurement.
• Own the programme creation budget and deliver category‑outperformance.
• Lead BTL agencies to produce high‑quality POS materials and activations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Brand, and Supply teams to align marketing plans with business objectives.
• Optimize distribution strategies to improve product availability, reach, and shelf presence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in shopper or trade marketing, preferably within the beverage or spirits sector.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive category growth.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams (sales, brand, supply).
• Experience leading external agencies to deliver POS and activation assets.
