Software Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to build and enhance our proprietary locking technology that powers credit‑based products in emerging markets. You will work on world‑class app design, web front‑end and back‑end services, and partner API integrations while collaborating with global engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop features and services using PHP, Java, JavaScript (Vue/AngularJS), HTML, and CSS.
• Design, test, debug, and deploy code from product specifications.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Manage relational SQL databases, perform CRUD operations, and evolve schema designs.
• Build real‑time APIs for partner data delivery and create tools that enable remote teams to support partners.
• Own feature sets end‑to‑end, from requirements through implementation and bug fixing.
• Mentor junior engineers, document processes, and participate in hiring.
• Engage in code reviews, pair programming, TDD, and Agile ceremonies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial technology services.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Team‑player mindset with a willingness to collaborate, mentor, and learn.
