About the role

We are looking for a System Developer to lead the design, development and implementation of scalable, secure software solutions for Ecobank. The role involves translating business needs into technical specifications and ensuring high‑performance delivery.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain micro‑services, APIs and distributed systems using modern paradigms.
Provide technical direction, enforce coding standards and mentor junior engineers.
Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues and optimise performance.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA and other stakeholders in Agile ceremonies.
Evaluate new technologies, frameworks and tools to improve productivity.
Contribute to technical roadmaps and strategic system enhancements.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
5‑8+ years of hands‑on software development experience with a strong project portfolio.

Required skills

Programming languages: Java, Python, C#, JavaScript.
Frameworks/tools: Spring Boot, Django.NET, Angular, React, Kotlin, Vue.js.
Architecture: micro‑services, RESTful APIs, distributed systems.
Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra.
Messaging: JMS, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
