Tax Manager

About the role

Crowe Uganda, a member firm of Crowe Global, is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to lead complex tax advisory, transfer pricing, compliance and dispute resolution engagements. The role works directly with partners on high‑profile assignments for multinational groups and major local businesses, representing clients before the Uganda Revenue Authority and the Tax Appeals Tribunal.

Key responsibilities

• Lead corporate tax, VAT, PAYE, WHT, and excise duty engagements.
• Manage transfer pricing documentation and audit defence.
• Lead URA audits, objections, reviews, and dispute resolution matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Mentor and develop junior tax professionals.
• Contribute to business development and practice growth.

Required profile

• CPA(U), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, Taxation, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan tax laws and URA practice.
• Proven experience leading tax audits, assessments, objections, and advisory engagements.
• Preferred: ADIT or postgraduate tax qualification; transfer pricing expertise; multinational/cross‑border experience.
