Territory Manager – Mbarara

About the role

Unilever is seeking a Territory Manager for the Mbarara region in Uganda. The role focuses on achieving secondary sales targets, driving key performance indicators, and supervising the Kiosk Development (KD) teams operating in the territory.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver territory secondary sales targets through KD teams.
• Supervise KD operations, including use of handheld terminals, printers, itineraries, trade pricing and TPM.
• Set targets, analyse performance, plan actions and manage related administration.
• Ensure KD compliance with Unilever standards, reporting, payment and investment requirements.
• Develop market coverage and growth initiatives, including prospecting and territory demarcation.
• Manage KD ROI through data entry, analysis and improvement plans.
• Oversee KD staffing, appraisal and discipline.
• Control territory budget and communicate company activities.
• Handle stock management, delivery follow‑up and out‑of‑stock situations.
• Provide sales input to S&OP, validate claims and manage trade visits.
• Coordinate with third‑party and government agencies and champion safety initiatives.

Required profile

• University graduate, preferably in Business or Social Sciences.
• Minimum three years of experience in an FMCG organization.
• At least two years of field experience in a Customer Management function.
