Trainee LPG Technician

About the role

RamcoGas Uganda is seeking a Trainee LPG Gas Technician to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training to become a proficient technician responsible for installing, delivering, repairing, and maintaining LPG appliances and equipment for residential and commercial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Install bulk storage tanks at residential and commercial sites, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Deliver, repair, install, and maintain a variety of LPG appliances such as furnaces, ranges, water heaters, and generators.
• Educate customers on proper operation, maintenance, and safety of gas equipment.
• Prepare work orders, invoices, and detailed reports of installations and gas deliveries.
• Install and maintain gas piping systems, including underground and above‑ground lines, regulators, meters, and dispensing systems.
• Maintain, paint, and repair company‑owned equipment and operate company vehicles safely.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in gas systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive training.
• Valid rider’s license.

Required skills

• Gas piping system installation and maintenance.
• LPG appliance installation and maintenance.
• Equipment maintenance and pressure checking.
