Volunteer Communications and Events Coordinator

About the role

This unpaid volunteer position supports TERREWODE’s mission to improve the lives of women and girls affected by reproductive health challenges in Uganda. You will help raise the organization’s visibility by managing communications and coordinating events that engage communities, donors, and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage TERREWODE’s social media platforms and overall online presence.
• Collect, document, and obtain consent for stories, testimonials, photos, and videos.
• Draft press releases, success stories, and donor communications.
• Plan, coordinate, and support organizational events, workshops, trainings, and campaigns.
• Assist in designing and delivering reintegration training sessions on community topics.
• Promote events and engage stakeholders through appropriate communication channels.
• Document and report on the outcomes of communications activities and events.

Required profile

• Passion for women’s health, empowerment, and community development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and volunteers.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.

• Social media platform management.
