Volunteer Communications & Events Coordinator for Women's Health

About the role

This unpaid volunteer position supports Terrewode Women's Fund in raising the visibility of its work on reproductive health challenges faced by women and girls in Uganda. You will help design and deliver communication strategies and coordinate events that engage communities, partners and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute communication campaigns to promote the organization’s mission and programs.
• Manage media and digital platforms, including social media channels, to share stories and updates.
• Coordinate and support the logistics of workshops, awareness events and stakeholder meetings.
• Collaborate with the team to create content, press releases and promotional materials.
• Monitor and report on the impact of communication activities and events.

Required profile

• Strong interest in women’s health, reproductive health and community empowerment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and volunteers.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Willingness to commit time on a volunteer basis for the duration of the project.

Required skills

• Experience with social media management and basic digital content creation.
