Business Banking Analyst

About the role

Supports the Enterprise Banking Hub with day‑to‑day portfolio administration, client servicing, sales, operations and credit management. Ensures client requests are fulfilled efficiently, portfolio risks are actively managed and regulatory requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve client queries, service requests and complaints within agreed turnaround times.
• Support Relationship Managers in achieving portfolio growth, sales, revenue and client‑service targets.
• Identify, capture and refer sales opportunities while maintaining accurate pipeline and client information.
• Analyse financial information and assist in preparing high‑quality credit applications.
• Monitor credit limits, annual reviews and conditions of approval to maintain a healthy portfolio.
• Coordinate with internal product, credit and support teams to deliver seamless client solutions.
• Complete account‑opening and portfolio‑maintenance activities accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with banking policies, credit standards and regulatory requirements, including KYC and AML controls.

Required profile

• First degree in Business, Commerce or a related discipline from a recognised institute.
• Minimum four years of relevant banking experience covering account analysis, lending principles, credit applications, sales and client servicing.
• Experience in account support, client service support, credit or retail credit collections environment.
• Strong analytical ability and sound interpretation of financial and portfolio data.
• Client‑focused with clear communication and confidence engaging internal and external stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of business banking products, account‑opening processes and related systems.
• Strong risk awareness, attention to detail and disciplined adherence to procedures.
• Effective planning, prioritisation, problem‑solving and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive mindset, willingness to learn and commitment to continuous improvement.
