Communications Associate – Brand and Design

About the role

UNOPS is looking for a Communications Associate to support brand and design initiatives in Kampala. The role will create and manage communications content for grassroots‑level audiences, ensuring alignment with UNOPS branding and messaging across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and produce communication materials, including graphics, videos and digital content.
• Design visual assets that reflect the UNOPS brand and support programme objectives.
• Produce and edit short videos for internal and external audiences.
• Monitor and adapt content for effectiveness with grassroots‑level stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multicultural teams and UN system partners in a development or humanitarian context.
• Ensure all outputs comply with UNOPS brand guidelines and communication standards.

Required profile

• Secondary school (or equivalent) with six years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in communications, public relations, media or journalism.
• Experience working in multicultural environments or UN system organisations, preferably in a developing country.
• Background in development or humanitarian contexts is desirable.
