Digital and Content Marketing Trainee

About the role

The Digital and Content Marketing Trainee will support Kindred’s social‑enterprise marketing efforts while gaining hands‑on experience in digital communications. This hybrid, part‑time position is based in Kampala and offers exposure to social impact marketing within a refugee‑focused nonprofit.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage content for the organisation’s digital platforms, including social media posts, blog articles, and visual assets.
• Assist with photography and videography projects to produce engaging multimedia content.
• Support the planning and execution of social‑media campaigns and digital outreach initiatives.
• Engage with online audiences, respond to comments, and help maintain relationships with customers and partners.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and timely delivery of marketing materials.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a respectful approach to diverse audiences.
• Enthusiasm for digital marketing, content creation, and social media.
• Good teamwork, time‑management, and organisational abilities.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Kampala and learn in a multicultural environment.
• Interest in social impact, mental health, or working with refugee communities is a plus.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar digital tools.
