Driver – Safe Transportation & Vehicle Maintenance

About the role

The Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation for authorized personnel, as well as handling cargo or hazardous goods when required. The role also includes vehicle upkeep, administrative support, and assistance with facility maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Transport authorized personnel and, where applicable, cargo or hazardous goods safely and on schedule.
• Collect and deliver mail, documents, and other items as needed.
• Assist personnel at the airport, facilitating immigration and customs formalities.
• Maintain accurate daily vehicle logs and support maintenance planning.
• Perform routine vehicle checks (oil, water, battery, brakes, tires) and ensure vehicles remain in good condition.
• Carry out minor repairs and coordinate major repairs when necessary.
• Keep assigned vehicles clean, roadworthy, and equipped with required documents and supplies.
• Respond promptly to accidents in line with organizational procedures.
• Support administrative tasks such as procurement of office supplies, inventory management, and minor facility repairs.
• Monitor and assist with the maintenance of office equipment and utility services.

Required profile

• Secondary school diploma with at least 2 years of relevant driving experience, or a bachelor’s degree with no experience required.
• Valid driver’s licence and driver’s training.
• Knowledge of driving rules, defensive driving techniques, and basic vehicle repair.
• Ability to work professionally with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
