Head of Programs – Uganda

About the role

IsraAID is seeking a senior leader to provide strategic and operational oversight for all programmes in Uganda. Reporting to the Country Director, the Head of Programs will guide programme design, implementation and quality across Kampala, Nakivale and Nyakabande.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for WASH, Nutrition, Child Protection and emerging sectors.
• Lead programme planning, design and implementation in line with IsraAID’s global strategy and country priorities.
• Ensure programmes are delivered on time, within budget and meet donor requirements.
• Conduct regular field visits, programme reviews and provide technical support to field teams.
• Oversee development of work plans, monitoring frameworks and programme reports.
• Coordinate closely with the MEAL Officer to maintain robust monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems.
• Prepare timely internal reports for the Country Director, Country Management Team and HQ.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading humanitarian programmes at a senior level.
• Strong ability to work with donors, HQ technical advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multi‑site operations and ensure compliance with standards.
