Information Technology Specialist

About the role

The Information Technology Specialist will provide reliable IT support and maintain the technology infrastructure that powers Twyford International Uganda’s business and warehouse operations. You will ensure systems are secure, available, and operating efficiently for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line and second‑line technical support, diagnosing hardware, software, network and system issues.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, printers, barcode scanners and other IT equipment.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions and maintain an accurate IT asset register.
• Support LAN installation, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting, including servers, switches, routers and access points.
• Provide assistance for ERP, warehouse management and other business applications, including updates and testing.
• Implement basic IT security controls, antivirus/endpoint protection, data backup procedures and report security incidents.
• Ensure warehouse IT systems (inventory, stock control, barcode devices) remain operational to minimise disruptions.
• Document incidents, prepare performance reports and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in IT support, systems administration or similar role.
• Experience with ERP and warehouse management systems and network infrastructure is a plus.
