Linguist Annotator (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Linguist Annotator to lead high‑stakes language data annotation for AI models. The role involves creating, curating, and validating multilingual training data with nuance, accuracy, and cultural sensitivity, while working remotely worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex linguistic annotation across multiple layers (syntax, semantics) on text, audio, and multimodal data following detailed guidelines.
• Conduct error analysis on model outputs, identify systematic linguistic failures, and recommend improvements.
• Handle sensitive or specialized content (legal, medical, technical) with confidentiality.
• Develop, refine, and maintain comprehensive annotation guidelines documenting decision rules and edge cases.
• Collaborate with computational linguists and ML engineers to ensure high productivity and quality standards.
• Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with privacy policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, English or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in linguistic annotation, data language operations, or computational linguistics.
• Proven track record of working on large‑scale annotation projects for NLP applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
