Media Consultant – Schools2030 Inclusive Innovations

About the role

The Aga Khan Foundation is seeking a Media Consultant to support the Schools2030 Incubation Inclusive Innovations programme in Uganda. The consultant will work from September to October 2026, reporting to the Schools2030 Program Lead, and will help amplify teacher‑driven innovations through strategic media and communications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a media strategy that showcases evidence‑based innovations created by teacher innovators.
• Produce and edit multimedia content (videos, photo stories, social media posts) for internal and external audiences.
• Coordinate with partner organisations, including Sightsavers, to ensure consistent messaging.
• Support the documentation of pilot activities and outcomes for scaling purposes.
• Manage media outreach, including press releases and stakeholder briefings.

Required profile

• University degree in Media, Communications, Journalism or a related field.
• Proven experience in media production for education or development projects.
• Familiarity with inclusive education concepts and the Schools2030 approach.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment in Kampala.
