Senior Data Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

Raising The Village is seeking a senior professional to lead data quality assurance across its Venn department. The role ensures accurate, consistent, and reliable data throughout collection, storage, and usage, supporting the organization’s mission to eradicate ultra‑poverty in Sub‑Saharan Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end data collection processes, develop SOPs, and champion best practices for data management.
• Design wireframes and data aggregation workflows with multi‑level quality controls.
• Develop and deliver training for contractors and M&E staff on ethical data handling and compliance.
• Maintain a centralized data repository and reporting system to provide clear insights on data quality.
• Drive innovation in data collection technologies aligned with SDGs and national development agendas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in M&E, social sciences, economics, computer science, mathematics or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data management, monitoring & evaluation, or related project management.
• Fluency in English; French and Kiswahili are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in development or non‑profit projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python and R for data pipeline development.
• Experience with relational data management systems.
• Knowledge of SurveyCTO, Comcare, and Survey123 (XLS‑based platforms).
• Familiarity with GIS tools such as ArcGIS and QGIS.
