Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator to support a U.S. Navy program on the remote island of Diego Garcia. The role involves operating both manual and automated silk‑screen presses to produce high‑quality printed materials that meet Navy specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Set up screens, mix and prepare inks, and align materials for each print run.
• Operate manual or automated presses, monitor settings, and adjust as needed to maintain color accuracy and registration.
• Inspect finished prints for quality, ensuring they meet Navy standards.
• Follow production schedules, maintain consistent output, and document production data.
• Clean and maintain screens, press equipment, and work area; manage ink and supply inventory.
• Adhere to safety, security and operational procedures in a remote environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned that align with the position’s level.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in silk‑screen printing, press operations, or a similar production setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum one year beyond hire date) and ability to obtain required visas and facility credentials.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain them for the duration of deployment.
• Proficiency in English sufficient to follow instructions and emergency procedures.
