Spiritual Nurture of Children (SNOC) Officer

About the role

The Spiritual Nurture of Children (SNOC) Officer will lead the implementation of the World Vision‑funded Spiritual Commitments Restoration (SCORE) project in Busiriba Kahunge. Reporting to the Area Programme Coordinator, the officer will integrate sustainable spiritual nurture activities with World Vision values, faith distinctives, and the Thriving Families and Child Equity frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilise and assess the Bible and age‑appropriate spiritual nurture material needs of children, families, churches and local pastors.
• Support the development and localisation of spiritual nurture materials in partnership with churches.
• Lead procurement, distribution and tracking of Bibles and other SNC resources in a context‑appropriate manner.
• Monitor and evaluate the utilisation of spiritual nurture materials.
• Coordinate SCORE interventions with F&D and local church structures, delivering activities such as holiday camps, school‑based SNC clubs, Bible studies and parent peer‑support groups.
• Ensure integration of SNC components into the Thriving Families and Child Equity Integrated Programming frameworks and SOPs.
• Maintain accurate project data and reporting to inform learning and child‑wellbeing decisions.

Required profile

• Experience working with children and faith‑based programmes in challenging environments.
• Ability to collaborate with local churches, pastors and community actors.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills for procurement, distribution and monitoring activities.
• Commitment to World Vision’s Christian values and to improving child equity.
