Systems Engineer

About the role

Share is building a global marketplace for bandwidth and needs a senior Systems Engineer to own the core infrastructure that powers its carrier‑grade network. You will be responsible for the physical and virtual layers that keep the platform reliable, secure, and ready for cloud‑first growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and harden Linux servers and virtualization platforms at scale.
• Maintain firewalls, VPNs, intrusion‑detection systems and overall security perimeter.
• Manage networking components such as routing, switching, VLANs, DNS and load balancing.
• Integrate and operate workloads on at least one hyperscaler (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Provide Kubernetes support and ensure smooth interaction with cloud services.
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure incidents, driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional systems engineering experience, preferably in a telco, ISP or carrier‑grade environment.
• Deep production Linux administration and proven ability to keep systems running at scale.
• Strong virtualization expertise (VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V or similar).
• Hands‑on security ownership, including firewalls, network segmentation and VPNs.
• Solid networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, load balancing).
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Exposure to Kubernetes and AI‑assisted workflow tools.
