Business Development Manager – Uganda

About the role

Mamoru is expanding its financial technology platform across Africa and is looking for a Business Development Manager to lead the launch and growth of its operations in Uganda. You will act as the local face of the company, establishing essential partnerships and driving the development of the FX trading business.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in setting up the Ugandan legal entity, FX broker accounts, exchange accounts, and onboarding with payment processors.
• Collaborate closely with the global operations team to ensure smooth local execution.
• Build and maintain relationships with banks, brokers, exchanges, merchants, and payment processors.
• Develop and promote FX trading services targeting high‑net‑worth investors, institutional clients, merchants, and individual traders.
• Stay informed on market trends, opportunities, risks, and emerging projects within the FX payments sector.
• Serve as nominee director of the local entity and manage administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Prior experience in banking or FX with a solid understanding of trading products and trade life cycles.
• Must be a Ugandan national.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, relationship‑management, and organizational abilities.
• Flexible mindset to adapt to a fast‑changing market and new responsibilities.
• Detail‑oriented, capable of multitasking and handling projects independently.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
