About the role
Glovo is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead its commercial strategy in Uganda. You will be responsible for expanding the restaurant network, managing key accounts, and driving operational excellence to position Uganda as a top‑performing market.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the long‑term commercial strategy for Uganda.
- Lead new restaurant acquisition and strategic account management.
- Analyse business and financial data to inform commercial decisions.
- Manage and develop a team of nine, hiring talent and fostering growth.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations and finance to ensure rapid, high‑quality execution.
- Lead project implementation, translate plans into actionable tasks and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong relationships with key restaurant partners and internal stakeholders.
Required profile
- Proven senior‑level leadership experience in commercial or sales functions.
- Strong negotiation and strategic thinking abilities.
- Track record of building and scaling high‑performing teams.
- Excellent analytical mindset with data‑driven decision making.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence diverse stakeholders.
