About the role

Glovo is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead its commercial strategy in Uganda. You will be responsible for expanding the restaurant network, managing key accounts, and driving operational excellence to position Uganda as a top‑performing market.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and execute the long‑term commercial strategy for Uganda.
  • Lead new restaurant acquisition and strategic account management.
  • Analyse business and financial data to inform commercial decisions.
  • Manage and develop a team of nine, hiring talent and fostering growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations and finance to ensure rapid, high‑quality execution.
  • Lead project implementation, translate plans into actionable tasks and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key restaurant partners and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

  • Proven senior‑level leadership experience in commercial or sales functions.
  • Strong negotiation and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Track record of building and scaling high‑performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical mindset with data‑driven decision making.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence diverse stakeholders.
